Italian Meat Loaf

Recipe Ingredients:

1can(8oz) tomato sauce
1Tbspworcestershire sauce
1Tbspfirmly packed brown sugar
1 1/4lbsground chuck
1lbsItalian sausage, casings removed
2eggs, lightly beaten
2slices whole wheat bread, torn into small pieces
1/4tspblack pepper
1/4cuppine nuts
2to 3 large fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

Recipe Instructions:

1.   Preheat oven to 350F. In small bowl, combine tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce and brown sugar. Set aside half of mixture for sauce.
2.   In large bowl, combine chuck, sausage, eggs, bread, salt, pepper, pine nuts, basil and remaining half of tomato sauce mixture.
3.   Pack into 9.25 x 5.25-inch loaf pan; mound in center. Bake 1 hour or until internal temperature registers 140F. Let rest 15 minutes before slicing. Heat remaining sauce to serve with meat loaf.
