Sour Cream and Ground Beef Layered Casserole

Recipe Ingredients:

1lbsground sirloin or chuck
1/2mediumonion, finely chopped
2Tbspgrated Parmesan cheese
2mediumtomatoes, peeled & diced, or 1 8oz can tomatoes
2cloveto 3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper, to taste
4ozcream cheese (room temperature)
4ozsour cream
1/3cupgreen onions, thinly sliced
1 1/2cupcooked egg noodles
1 1/2cupshredded sharp cheddar cheese

Recipe Instructions:

1.   Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 13x9 baking dish.
2.   In a large skillet, cook ground beef with the chopped onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
3.   Add tomatoes, parmesan, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer meat mixture to greased baking dish; set aside.
4.   In a bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, and green onions on low speed until smooth. Spread the sour cream mixture over the ground beef mixture in the dish.
5.   Top with noodles. Cover with grated cheese and sprinkle with paprika. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
