Chinese Marinade for Chicken or Ribs
An excellent marinade and basting sauce for racks of ribs.Recipe Ingredients:
2 | tsp | sugar |
1 | cup | water |
1 | cup | soy sauce (Kikkoman) |
1/2 | cup | honey |
1/2 | cup | white vinegar |
1/4 | cup | dry sherry |
2 | tsp | chopped garlic |
1 | cube chicken bouillon | |
2 | Tbsp | hoi sin sauce (found in oriental or gourmet grocery) |
1 | can | beer |
Recipe Instructions:
1. | Marinade ribs for 3 hours. (6 if refrigerated). Use marinade as a basting sauce by placing marinade in a shallow basting pan. Add 1 can of beer. Place pan beneath ribs and baste every 20 minutes. When used as a marinade only, marinade can be reused by freezing for future use. |
